If you are actively engaged in the profession of Building Design, you are invited to apply to join BDA WA as a FULL MEMBER.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP is available to those just starting out in the industry, and is also drawn from sections of the construction industry including builders, interior designers, landscape designers, engineers, planners, surveyors, project managers, sub-contractors.

• BDA WA also offers Associate Membership to full-time Students and Corporate Representatives. Different fees and applications apply.
• ASSOCIATES do not have voting rights on key Issues affecting Building Designers

The common denominator between all levels of membership is a desire to promote and advance the Building Design Industry through information, networking and fellowship BDA WA have a strong committee who work hard to protect the interests of building designers and provide support and information. Involvement at a committee level is welcomed.

APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP
Applicants need to complete the Application Form, providing contact details and background needed for assessment by the Membership Services Sub-committee. A nomination fee of $40.00 is required with each application for membership.

For applicants applying for FULL MEMBERSHIP the following submission portfolio, containing two (2) copies of recent projects, is required.

• Client’s brief notes
• Design sketches / presentation
• Full working drawing (specify your role)
• Specifications /Addenda
• Photos of work in progress or completed
• Reference from a BDA member or other relevant person
• Summary of experience

The assessment panel would prefer the above submission – however, it is understood that all the criteria may not be relevant or accessible for your application. Applicants are most welcome to contact the BDA WA office with any queries on 08 9228 3235.
