BACKGROUND: The Building Designers Association of Western Australia Incorporated (BDAWA) is an industry association, which represents Building Design and Drafting professionals.

Founded in 1986, the BDAWA is a non-profit organisation promoting and advancing the profession of Building Design.

Elected, BDAWA Executive Committee members work voluntarily - in the interests of ALL members - to advance the profession of Building Design.

All funds gained by the BDAWA are used for the benefit of the membership and for the continuing growth and stability of the Association. The day-to-day management and administration is handled by a contracted Executive Officer.

A Code of Ethics assuring honourable and professional practice, within the design sector and the building industry, binds BDAWA Members.about the association 2

• Knowledge of Regulations
• Realistic Fees

The BDAWA provides a structured continuing professional development and education program to enable members to continually upskill their knowledge on issues relevant to building designers and draftspersons.

BDAWA Inc. is a Corporate Member of the Building Designers Association of Australia Ltd (BDAA Ltd), which represents around 2000 Building Designers Australia wide.
